Take a walk with old maps exploring Bermondsey’s one-time leather-making district.
On this local history walk organised by London Trails, you’ll see 17th-century houses and a Victorian smithy nestled among the warehouses. You will also see how Bermondsey Council’s Beautification Committee transformed the site of an old workhouse. Beyond the Old Watch House discover traces of Bermondsey Abbey in unexpected places.
