Father Ted is one of the greatest sitcoms ever made, and to celebrate Kino Bermondsey is welcoming renowned stand-up Joe Rooney for a night all about the show on Wednesday 6th April!
Joe played Father Damo in The Old Grey Whistle Theft, one of the most iconic episodes of the series. He’ll be hosting a screening of the episode and taking you behind the scenes to answer all your questions about Craggy Island.

Then it’s your turn to take part in one of the most beloved scenes from the show, as the audience get to compete in our all-inclusive ‘Lovely Girls Competition’. Do you have the loveliest laugh, the loveliest walk and can you make the loveliest sandwiches?
There will also be priests aplenty, an over-70s football match, plus appearances from a nursery-rhyme singing Ziggy Stardust, Nirvana, Johnny Cash and many more – and the evening wouldn’t be complete without a sing-along to ‘My Lovely Horse’!
